J. S. Lancaster Medal
What an honour
23/07/2016
16th July 2016 will long live with me. I had the honour to be invited to be one of the three judges for the PAGB Inter Club PDI championships at Warwick. This is the second time I have had this privilege and really looked forward to the task as you see some of the very best in UK club photography - this year was no exception. At the end of the day I was called onto the stage and presented with a J. S. Lancaster Medal for "exceptional service to the PAGB" Lancaster was one of the founding fathers of the PAGB and the medal was introduced in 1998 - only 31 other photographers have been honoured and when I look at the roll call I am really humbled. I still owe more to photography than I have ever given - the best and ultimate hobby.
